Dive Instructors
John Iremiadis was born in Piraeus on the 6th of October 1968 and from a young age fell in love with the sea which became an inseparable part of his life, having being raised in Athens’ biggest harbour.For the last 15 years he has been occupied almost exclusively with diving as a PADI (Professional Association if Diving Instructors) & CMAS (Confédération Mondiale des Activités Subaquatiques) instructor, working on diving boats. In addition he has also engaged with underwater labour as a professional diver.
In the spring of 2007 he made his dream come true. He created “Sea Spirit”, a diving resort based on the beach.
George Chrysopoulos was born in New York in 1974 and moved to Greece in 1986.
From the moment that he arrived in Kos Island, he discovered his affinity to water to the point where his parents found it almost impossible to get him out.
Since 1998 he has been diving with dedication and respect to the beauty of the underwater world and in 2009 he finally decided to become a PADI certified instructor and to share his passion and knowledge of the sea with present and future divers.
Kos, the island of Hippocrates is a beautiful summer holiday destination in the Dodecanese chain of Islands in Greece and is ideal for a number of activities ranging form nature walks to windsurfing and deep sea diving or just plain relaxing in the Greek sun. The morphology of the island is unique and blends beautiful sandy beaches but also rocky seashores with crystal clear waters.
The Sea Spirit Diving Resort is situated in Psalidi, 4 kilometres outside Kos Town at the Ramira Hotel and in Kardamena at Mitsis Hotels complex (Norida, Summer Palace, Family Village, Blue Domes ). At either one of our resorts, you can take your first ever diving lesson and discover the mysteries and miracles of the underwater world or if you a certified diver, you can choose from a selection of dives located just a short breath away or even choose your own location.
Independent diving has become very popular these days mainly due to how easy it is. The equipment we use makes you totally weightless underwater! In fact, you don't even have to know how to swim! Our Discover Diving programme is designed for first time divers and is a safe and enjoyable way to discover the wonders of diving.
If your doctor allows you to take a walk in the park, you're between the ages of 8 and 108 and you love nature, then you're a heartbeat away from discovering a new and different world and becoming one with nature.
Our instructors will guide with a simple theory lesson of about half an hour. Everything you need to know for your first dice is included in this lesson. Straight after that you get to wear your diving equipment which is the exact same that certified divers wear!
You too are an independent diver now with the only difference being that your dive will not exceed 4 metres in depth. As you enter the sea, standing in the shallow water, your dive is about to begin.
One of our instructors will slowly guide you to a depth of 4 metres which is totally safe but at the same time allows you to observe the beauty of your underwater surroundings and the sea bed just a stone's throw from the shore. Fish literally eat right out of your hands and we'll gladly take underwater pictures for you so you can show off to your friends and family and relive your experience every time you look at them.
And all of this privately.
